A Note From the Founder

Started on a hand-me-down CRT. Still chasing the perfect run.

I am Marcus Tran, and WiredHero started as a blog I wrote at 2am in a Surry Hills terrace, hunched over a hand-me-down CRT monitor and a shoebox of classic titles. It was one simple rule then and it remains the same now: finish the game before you score it.

We are independent writers strong, still taking zero money from publishers, and still arguing about pacing. If a developer asks for 60 hours of your life, you deserve someone who actually spent them with the game.

— Marcus Tran, Founder & Lead Writer

What the crew's been saying

Real notes from gamers who trust our desk to filter out the marketing hype.

"I bought a $110 game on WiredHero's word instead of blindly trusting corporate aggregators. Best call I made all year — the review flagged exactly how the game loop gets better in the end-game and they were 100% correct."
