WiredHero is an independent, sponsor-free gaming review and deep-dive journal. Zero ads, zero fluff guides, and honest analysis to let you know if a game is worth your weekend.
I am Marcus Tran, and WiredHero started as a blog I wrote at 2am in a Surry Hills terrace, hunched over a hand-me-down CRT monitor and a shoebox of classic titles. It was one simple rule then and it remains the same now: finish the game before you score it.
We are independent writers strong, still taking zero money from publishers, and still arguing about pacing. If a developer asks for 60 hours of your life, you deserve someone who actually spent them with the game.
— Marcus Tran, Founder & Lead Writer
Day-one reviews we actually finish before scoring — no half-played corporate opinions here.
Revisiting classics under the modern lens, analyzing scanlines and actual quality of life upgrades.
Giving local developers the platform and criticism they need to build the next masterpiece.
A quick, honest look at how WiredHero stacks up against the corporate outlets and score-aggregators you already know.
